- Sorry, Samantha. ALL flood insurance is controlled by the government through the NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program). Private insurers can sell the insurance but it is provided by the US Gov. I recently retired from a local flood board so I know these things. Subsidence.

- Pigotry at least found something positive to say. Refreshing after all the "ah, it'll never work" crowd. The Pakistanis stuck it out despite violence from the Taliban and had an actual election. Good for them. Now, as one poster said, all we can do is wait to see what they do next.
